Castle Pines Community Church - Meets at Buffalo Ridge Elementary; Vacation Bible School (VBS) has become a tradition in Castle Pines North and this year is no exception: VBS will be held at Timber Trail Elementary June 23-27. Visit the church’s website for more information. Christ the King Meets at DCS Montessori School; Christ the King Presbyterian is also gearing up for Vacation Bible School, in conjunction with Epiphany Lutheran Church in Castle Rock. As of press time, details hadn’t been finalized yet. Contact the church for more information. In addition to VBS, Christ the King Presbyterian offers a wide range of services. “We have youth group gatherings, trips and events. For adults we have small groups, Beth Moore ladies Bible study, MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), Bethel Bible study, and Men of Significance group,” said Lead Pastor Dan Weidman.
God’s Grace Community Church - Meets at 9535B Park Meadows Drive, Lone Tree. This newest addition to the churches that meet in CPN is looking forward to a permanent home in CPN, though it will be some time yet before construction begins. God’s Grace will eventually call Lagae Ranch home. God’s Grace is an active part of the larger community and does outreach work each week at Paris Elementary School, an Aurora school that serves low-income children and families. “From collecting Thanksgiving baskets, warm outerwear and school supplies to hosting monthly reading ceremonies and celebrations with students, the mutual relationship is life giving,” said church Hospitality Minister, Claudia Larson. Solid Life Christian Center - Meets at Timber Trail Elementary; Solid Life will be holding two special services in April, titled “We’re Not In Kansas Anymore!” “Change Happens!” said co-pastor Becky Stutzmann. “In the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy made a powerful observation when she said, ‘We’re not in Kansas anymore.’ Things are not as they used to be. Your Kansas could be an old job, a past relationship or life stage. It represents a place that was comfortable and familiar. There’s just one problem: You’re not there anymore! God wants us to thrive in seasons of change!” The two-part series will be on April 20 and 27 during regular services. Solid Life will host a special Mother’s Day service honoring all mothers. Special music, video and an inspirational message will focus on how mothers make the world a better place. Every mother in attendance will receive a special gift. |
