Parks Authority Update 19 February 2009
|
||||||||||
The City has officially recorded two documents with Douglas County as requested. (Location and Extent Form and the Ownership of Tracts A&D). We are still awaiting signed documentation of the reimbursement agreement between CPN Metro District and HF Holdings for grading and infrastructure on and around the Lagae Park site. According to the Metro District an agreement was reached and the document is ready for signing by HF Holdings. The grading contract and infrastructure contracts (between the Metro District and contractors) are in place and ready to go once agreement is signed. During grading/construction of the school it was agreed upon that excess dirt could be placed on the park site for future use in the park construction. However, instead of the agreed upon 20,000 cu ft there is an extra 48,000 cu ft on the site. A meeting will be taking place to determine why there is extra, and more importantly who is going to pay to remove it (approx. $60,000). HF Holdings (the developer) has stated he would agree to the homes in Lagae North annexing in to the Master Association provided it does not include architectural control. This is not an issue and has been done with other annexations in CPN. The current document the Master Association has on file needs some rewording and I will be asking the Master Association Board to approve the Attorney making the changes. The CPN Chamber of Commerce presented their plan to the PA Board to produce a map of open space/parks in Castle Pines North along with a street map. Funding would be via advertisements from Chamber members. The Parks Authority Board agreed to contribute $500 towards this endeavor, promoting access and use of our parks and trails system. The map could possibly include mileage, facilities and amenities available at each location. |
