A grader comes to BRE... Wondering about the construction that is happening on the field at Buffalo Ridge? The BREA project to bring much-needed shade to our elementary school kids gets underway as graders change the hillside in preparation for the new Shade Pavilion. |

Space takes a shape... Grading complete, the area is cordoned for safety, in preparation for the pad. "It will be nice to let the kids have lunch outside." "The Shade Structure will let teachers hold outdoor classes, field or special days." |

The base is in place... The pad is poured and the concrete cures. Posts and roofline are coming. When the corner posts and roof are in place, kids will be able to get out of the sun for a break! "This structure will give our kids a chance to get out of the Colorado sun until our landscaping matures to provide shade." |

Dimensions become 3-D... The framework is in place, defining the structure's shape. This is a splendid example of mathematics and physics at work. |

Raising the roof... Nearing completion, this has been an exciting project to watch being created. It has graphically shown the creative and mechanical steps involved in the construction process first-hand. "Good show" to all involved in making this a reality for the Buffalo Ridge school. |
