Castle Pines Area Girl Scouts collected items for the firefighters fighting the Hayman fire.
Cash contributions were combined to purchase five suction hoses which were desperately needed by the fireman working on the ongoing clean-up of the Hayman fire.

The girls would like to thank the Castle Pines North, Castle Pines Village and Happy Canyon communities for their generous donations. Items were delivered to the U.S. Forest Service and Salvation Army for disbursement. The hoses were delivered directly to the Lake George Fire Protection District.

Kudos to Troop 637
Troop 637 made the cover of Boys Life in December of '02.......... The first Troop from Colorado to ever make the cover. Troop 637 made the cover because Scoutmaster David Neely, local CPN resident of 6 years, and his Troop organized a tribute to the 10th Mtn. Division soldiers of WWII. Over 1,200 scouts attended the event, and over 600 Adults, a record for Colorado Scouts. Another record was attained, when the boys survived a record low temperature of -26 degrees on Friday night. The boys competed in scout activities and had a few special guests including a few former 10th Mtn. veterans from WWII, a high altitude Army helicopter, and three F-16's did a fly over. It was a very memorable trip, and one the boys will remember for years to come.

Interested in Scouting? Contact: Scoutmaster David Neely by email for Boy Scouts Troop 637 or by telephone at (W) 303-814-9358.

Boy Scout Fundraiser Aeration for Lawns...

It's not too late......sign up now for this Spring or Fall fundraiser event. Aeration costs $35 for professional machines and service.

Fertilizing also available upon request for an additional $25. Troop 637 serves CPN and is available at your convenience. Don't let your lawn get brown. It's very important to your lawn’s health to Aerate and Fertilize now! Get ready for the summer drought. The soil in Colorado has so much clay it is recommended you aerate in both the Spring and Fall so the water you do put on your lawn penetrates it for a healthy lawn!

How to sign up for this service -
Please e-mail (preferred) David (Scoutmaster) dneely@ix.netcom.com or call Ryan Neely (Life Scout) at 303-814-9358. When you e-mail, please send your name, address, telephone number, subdivision, and preferred day/time. Remember to water the night before we plan to come and mark your interior sprinkler heads.

Sign up now for this Spring or Fall or Annual service, and we'll put you on our e-mail list.
