Girl
Scout troops are resuming their meetings - those girls looking for
a new troop should have received an information form from their school.
Please fill out and return this form to your school office.
Archives:
Castle Pines Area Girl Scouts collected items for the firefighters
fighting the Hayman fire. Cash
contributions were combined to purchase five suction hoses which
were desperately needed by the fireman working on the ongoing clean-up
of the Hayman fire.
The
girls would like to thank the Castle Pines North, Castle Pines Village
and Happy Canyon communities for their generous donations. Items
were delivered to the U.S. Forest Service and Salvation Army for
disbursement. The hoses were delivered directly to the Lake George
Fire Protection District.

Kudos
to Troop 637
Troop 637 made the cover of Boys Life in December of '02..........
The first Troop from Colorado to ever make the cover. Troop 637
made the cover because Scoutmaster David Neely, local CPN resident
of 6 years, and his Troop organized a tribute to the 10th Mtn. Division
soldiers of WWII. Over 1,200 scouts attended the event, and over
600 Adults, a record for Colorado Scouts. Another record was attained,
when the boys survived a record low temperature of -26 degrees on
Friday night. The boys competed in scout activities and had a few
special guests including a few former 10th Mtn. veterans from WWII,
a high altitude Army helicopter, and three F-16's did a fly over.
It was a very memorable trip, and one the boys will remember for
years to come.
