A to the Minutes: |

The
Rec Center Motion of the Board of Directors from the
Meeting held on September 27th, at 7:00 pm: |
|
| |

|
|
| |
|
|
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
Motion
by Director Cheryl McDade to agree in principle that a community
recreation center would be a valuable asset to Castle Pines North,
and to move forward with the work required in order to determine
the feasibility of the community recreation center. Specifically
directing the treasurer to prepare the 2002 budget using $215 as
the annual dues rate, and to schedule adoption of the budget and
approval of the 2002 annual dues for the November regular meeting.
Notice of this proposed action will be published in the October
2001 newsletter and will be presented at the Annual Meeting of members
on November 8, 2001.
The
conditions for the higher assessment would include, but not be limited
to:

| 1. |
|
The
Metro District approval of a reduction in property taxes at
least equivalent to the Master Assn dues increase. |

|
|
| 2. |
|
The
dues allocated to funding the recreation center would be held
by the Master Association until a formal decision to proceed
is approved. |

|
| |
|
Note:
the Master Association participates in the decision through
its Parks Authority Board Member. |
| |
|
|
| 3. |
|
This
assumes that prior to the decision to proceed, the Parks Authority
and/or Metropolitan District has completed a thorough assessment
of all costs and revenue sources. |

|
|
| 4. |
|
Should
there be a decision not to build the recreation center, then
additional monies collected on behalf of the recreation center,
would be wither refunded or applied to the next years' dues. |
|
