CASTLE PINES NORTH HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, NO. 2
MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 13, 2003 REGULAR BOARD MEETING
Tom Baker called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Directors present were Sue Brown & Todd Schuster. Rob Saxton, Kaye Sullivan, Charlie Green, Dave Felty were absent. A quorum not being present, only committee reports were given. Ron Valiga of Hallmark Management was also present.
No submission
The minutes of the regular December, 2003 meeting were not approved, as there was no quorum.
SOCIAL:
Flyers are out for the Valentines Day party. 16 RSVP’s received so far. Members are asked to make reservations. The 2004 social schedule was announced. Sue asked that the townhome section (Canterbury Park & Broadwick) receive the notification of the party.
WELCOMING COMMITTEE:

CLUBHOUSE:
Lynn Green reported that a cleaning of the clubhouse has been completed & submitted a bill for the work done. The rugs will be cleaned in the next week or two. A total of 21 uses were reported for the month. $205.89 was spent on kitchen & clubhouse items. The clubhouse has been re-keyed and Lynn has an inventory of who has keys. The light fixture was finally repaired. The web site will be updated to reflect Lynn’s number for clubhouse reservations.
MASTER ASSOCIATION:
An armed robbery of the Kings Soopers was discussed. Both robbers were caught. Xcel Energy’s pressure with the PUC resulted in a tentative approval of the power line issues. Appeals are expected. Hidden Pointe continues the lawsuit with the Master Association. The Master Association has filed a response to the items named in the suit and has filed a counter suit for costs & fees. Highlights of a Metro District water meeting were reviewed. The Metro District will inform residence of the CPN water situation soon.
TENNIS: Minor vandalism reported. The door of the east court was bent so that it would not lock. A windscreen needs reattached and the backboard will need painted in the spring.
ACC:
A privacy fence request that was denied has asked for a hearing with the ACC. Upon investigating the areas, the ACC has found several fences that have been installed without approval. The ACC will peruse violation notices on these properties. A spring walk around will be schedule for paint and fence issues. Barking dog complaints have been referred to the Douglas County Animal Control Dept.
GROUNDS:
Snow removal going along well. Equipment is staged in the clubhouse parking lot. Watering of trees will be done on an as needed basis, depending on snowfall. True Green is emptying trashcans and picking up blowing trash. Bids for pine beetle spraying are being sought.
POOL:
Todd will pull the pumps for an exact match and reinstall the new one in the spring.
FINANCE:
Hallmark Management presented the financial report for the month ending December 2003.
Rob provided copies of Rules & conduct of Directors provided by CAI. The Directors will review and act on acceptance next month.

As there was no other business to come before the Board the meeting was adjourned at 8:30 PM.
Minutes are unofficial until approved by the Board at the next meeting.
